At Khushi, we spend more time at the crucial step of analyzing your medical history, as it often provides valuable clues for us as scientific investigators. We evaluate your medical history, family history and conduct a physical examination, pelvic scan along with other routine blood tests.
Our in-house hormonal analysis lab and advanced semen processing facility which enables us to standardize our test results and enables quick clinical decision making. This panel includes hormonal blood tests such as AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone), evaluation of the fallopian tubes using HSG (“Hysterosalpingogram”) and evaluating sperm quality using DNA Fragmentation Test (“DFI”).
We advise IVF only when the less-invasive methods of ART have not worked due to various fertility issues such as blocked tubes, ovulation disorder, endometriosis and so on. During treatment, hormonal injections are given to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple follicles. Follicular tracking is done using ultrasound scans. Eggs are retrieved under anesthesia in a procedure called ‘OPU’ – ovum picks up where a needle is used to aspirate a follicle under ultrasound guidance. The term ‘in-vitro’(meaning: in the glass) means that fertilization takes place in a petri dish, outside the body. The embryo is then put back into the uterus for implantation for pregnancy to occur.
ICSI stands for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is a procedure in an IVF cycle, in which a single sperm is picked up with a fine glass needle and is injected directly into the egg by experienced embryologists using specialized equipment called ICSI micro-manipulator. Khushi is the first IVF facility in India to have received a built-in ICSI-micromanipulator under a laminar workflow bench, imported directly from IVF-Tech Denmark, to ensure the cleanest environment for the embryos, thereby ensuring high success rates.
